April 2019 (Jantz, et al. v. Comanche Exploration Co., et al.) – Successfully obtained the release of over 300 acres of Custer County minerals held by a non-commercial well, allowing the mineral owners to obtain new oil & gas leases, new lease bonuses, and a new royalty.

157 Acres Released

November 2018 (Tharp v. Continental Resources Inc., et al.) – Successfully obtained the release of over 157 acres of Custer County minerals held by a non-commercial well, allowing the mineral owners to obtain new oil & gas leases, new lease bonuses, and a new royalty.

84 Acres Released

July 2018 – Without litigation, successfully obtained the release of over 84 acres of Dewey County minerals held by a non-commercial well, allowing the mineral owners to obtain new oil & gas leases, new lease bonuses, and a new royalty.

Over 325 Acres Released

April 2018 (Christensen, et al. v. Apache, et al.) Successfully obtained the release of over 325 acres of Custer County minerals held by a non-commercial well, allowing the mineral owners to obtain new oil & gas leases, new lease bonuses, and a new royalty.

341 Acres Released

March 2018 – (Davis-McElmurry Charitable Testamentary Trust, et al. v. Encino Anadarko Acquisition, LLC, et al.) Successfully obtained the release of 341 acres of Custer County minerals held by a non-commercial well, allowing the mineral owners to obtain new oil & gas leases, new lease bonuses, and a new royalty.

Over 357 Acres Released

February 2018 (Lash, et al. v. Breitburn, et al.) Successfully obtained the release of over 357 acres of Custer County minerals held by a non-commercial well, allowing the mineral owners to obtain new oil & gas leases, new lease bonuses, and a new royalty.

120 Acres Released

October 2017 (Klein v. JMA, et al.) – Successfully obtained the release of 120 acres of Custer County minerals held by a non-commercial well, allowing the mineral owners to obtain new oil & gas leases, new lease bonuses, and a new royalty.

$30 Million Settlement

2012 (Weber v. Mobil Oil Corp.) – Settled the Western Oklahoma class action for $30,000,000.00. The case was brought on behalf of Custer and Dewey County royalty owners in the Putnam-Oswego Unit pursuing claims for wrongful withholding of royalty proceeds.

$155 Million Settlement

2009 (Simmons v. Anadarko Petroleum Corporation) – Settled the Oklahoma class action case on behalf of Oklahoma royalty owners in wells operated by Anadarko Petroleum, settled for $155,000,000.00.

$150 Million Settlement

2005 (Lobo v. BP) – Settled the nationwide class action case on behalf of working interest owners in wells operated by BP for $150,000,000.00.

42.5 Million Settlement

In 2009, settled the class action case of Lerma v. Wal-Mart for $42,500,000.00 representing a class of over 197,000 former and current hourly workers in Oklahoma Wal-Mart Stores.

$30 Million Settlement

Our firm was recently involved in reaching a $30 million settlement in favor of Western Oklahoma royalty owners in the Putnam-Oswego Unit. The case against Exxon-Mobil involved the wrongful withholding of royalty proceeds over a 30-year period.

Multi-Million Dollar Settlement
